Once considered the Shangri-La of the world, for centuries Kashmir sat atop its adjoining southern border with India. Kashmir is now torn in half by the 60-year war of control over this utopian paradise. Pakistan controls the north while India controls the south. Both nuclear powers refuse to relinquish their vice like grip on Kashmir. Fueled by insatiable hatred of India’s Hindu government, the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba has wreaked havoc during its decades-old struggle to tear Kashmir away from India’s control.

In “Nuclear Response,” Lashkar steals two nuclear devices from an old Soviet arsenal in an apocalyptic plan, preferring the nuclear destruction of Kashmir to India’s continued control. CIA officer Mark Coburn embarks on a deadly journey to hunt down the Lashkar terrorists. His sojourn sweeps him from the lush gardens of Kashmir through the desert in Pakistan and ends at ground zero. There, all forces collide with cataclysmic results.
